The Advent of SSDI Video Hearings
Like much of the US corporate world, the Social Security Administration has come to understand the benefits of video teleconferencing. In effort to cure the backlog of cases, the SSA implemented video hearings within the last few years, and such video hearings have become more and more common.

Disability claims are taking longer and longer these days. In fact, nationally the average processing time for disability claims are 491 days, or more than 16 months. This national average is upsetting because Congress has made recent efforts to give the Social Security Administration more resources and staff to deal with huge backlogs.
